“There is a profession of chalk dust full of hands. It is said to be the cleanest profession. There is a job that does not plant trees in the soil. Which brings life full of sweet and fresh flowers." There is no profession as noble as a teacher, no job favored by society for the most beautiful words to honor as a teacher. Joining with the joyful atmosphere of the whole country, on the morning of November 20, 2020, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) ceremoniously held a meeting to celebrate 38 years of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2020) with the theme: Connecting generations at Hall A.116.
An overview of the ceremony
Attending the ceremony, there were the presence of teachers and former leaders of the School through the ages: Assoc.Dr.National Teacher Dao Van Tai - Former Vice Principal; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Xuong - Former Vice Principal; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Diem Chau - Former Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Vice Principal; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Van Nang - Former Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Principal, President of UEH Alumni; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet - Former Vice Principal; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Dinh - Former President of School Council, Former Vice Principal; Distinguised Teacher. Nguyen Van Te - Former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Dr. Tran The Hoang - Former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Chairman of the School Council, Former Vice Principal, UEH Alumni Permanent Vice President and more than 400 retired teachers who have made numerous positive contributions for the country's education and training in general and UEH in particular.
Leaders of incumbent schools include Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council; Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - Principal; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice Principal; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Vice Principal, Director of Vinh Long Campus; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairman of Advisory Council; Dr. Bui Quang Viet - Trade Union President and teachers who are Professors, Associate Professors; National Teachers, Distinguished Teachers that have been working at the School; Heads and Deputy Heads of departments, faculties, institutes, centers, companies directly under the university; with a large number of teachers who are teaching, administrators and service staff at the school.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - UEH Principal, on behalf of the school leaders, sent congratulations and expressed deep gratitude to the teachers, who have been making important contributions to the educational career under the roof of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. The meeting is associated with joy and pride from the result of strong changes, in the right direction, in the spirit of international integration; reputation of the UEH brand is increasingly acknowledged in the country and the region.

"Respect the teacher, honour the morality " is a precious tradition expressing the gratitude of students to generations of teachers, who have worked hard and sacrificed to bring scientific knowledge and moral lessons to generations of studenDr. To express their gratitude to the teachers, the boatmen silently took generations of students across the river to go to the bright future shore, on behalf of all UEH incumbent officials and leaders of the school. Also at the meeting, the UEH Alumni Executive Board for the 2020-2025 term shared information about the "Connecting Community - Spreading Knowledge" program and "UEH - Time to back" to connect generations of UEH alumni accompanies the school in many different fields, thereby spreading intellectual value to society and the community.
