On the afternoon of August 15th, 2022, at the Room A204, there was an agreement signing ceremony between the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and University of Newcastle, Australia (UON). This cooperation aims to promote the development of scientific research, teaching, and international projects of the two units.
Attending the signing ceremony, on the UEH side, there were Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen - Head of Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation; Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation. On the side of University of Newcastle, there were Prof. Dr. Caroline Chan - Vice-Chancellor, and Mr. Bret Sutcliffe - Director of Global International Relations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh shared: “UEH is a leading key University in Vietnam and is gradually asserting its reputation on the world education map. With an international orientation, UEH is willing to work with the University of Newcastle to strengthen the partnership related to research activities, teaching, and international projects. Besides, this is also an opportunity for the two universities to increase exchanges and learn from each other, and hopefully, the relationship between the two universities will become stronger and more effective."

Ms. Caroline Chan - Vice Chancellor of UON - shared her joy and appreciated the cooperation relationship with UEH. At the same time, she proposed cooperation and sought support for activities and projects for lecturers and students through a memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides.

Within the framework of the ceremony, representatives of the two Universities introduced undergraduate and graduate training activities, scientific research, technology transfer, and international cooperation. At the same time, they discussed the issue of cooperation in training at the university level; organizing seminars, conferences, and exchanges of lecturers and students.
