On October 7, 2023, the School of Banking at the College of Business, UEH University successfully organized the program "Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s International Student Exchange at UEH University" within the framework of the GEIP x UEH cooperation program, with the participation of more than 40 students from the School of Banking and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
The program is organized with the desire to create opportunities for Vietnamese and Singaporean students to exchange, learn, and better understand the economy and culture between the countries. Besides, this is also a special occasion for the two countries to tighten their friendship, enhance the spirit of solidarity and attachment between students of UEH University, Vietnam and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore in particular, between Vietnamese students and Singaporean students in general. Moreover, at the program, students can also explore the culture and characteristics of Vietnam and Singapore, enjoy unique folk music performances; and more specifically, students can be given the opportunity to discover and experience the art of calligraphy - the beauty of Vietnamese culture in a unique way.

The program opened with a contemporary dance performance performed by UEH students, thereby helping to create a joyful atmosphere as well as contribute to stirring up the atmosphere of the program. The performance not only left an impression on the students of the two countries because of its careful preparation, but it was also a spiritual gift that the students wanted to send to the guests.

Introduction of Vietnamese Cultural Identity
Coming to the event, Vietnamese and Singaporean students were able to see images of the country and people of Vietnam through unique films. Thereby, contributing to conveying and promoting the image of the beautiful characteristics of Vietnam, its growing economy, attractive Vietnamese cuisine, outstanding cultural features and hospitable people in this S-shaped country.
Following the endless footage of the Vietnamese scene is an introduction of the continuous development journey of UEH University and School of Banking to the students. Thereby helping international students understand more about the multi-disciplinary and multi-field UEH University as well as the outstanding progress of the School of Banking over the 20 years since its formation until now.

Exciting presentations between student groups
In order to exchange and better understand the culture, economic environment, business, and sustainable development of the two countries, students participating in the program were divided into 6 groups, including UEH and Ngee Ann Polytechnic students. At the program, students from the two countries had great coordination, presenting the current situation and hot topics in the two countries regarding economics and finance.

With the judges full of experience and high professional capacity, at the Exchange Program, the jury had useful evaluations and comments on the groups' content. The fully prepared content was introduced, containing a lot of information to look at the economy as well as the cultures of both countries, and was clearly analyzed in many aspects. The confidence of all students in their presentations was also highly appreciated by the jury. They had very good interaction with each other during their presentations and when answering questions asked by the jury.

At the activity, to relieve stressful moments after the groups' enthusiastic presentations, there was a musical performance strongly influenced by Vietnamese culture, performed by the students participating in the program, with everyone's excited cheers, making the program more interesting.

After sharing about the culture, economic and business environment of the two countries, and sharing the exciting atmosphere at the program, Singaporeans also shared about culture, business, landscape, and people from modern, fun-filled Singapore to UEH students, which helps connect and increase friendship between the two countries.

Experience the beauty of calligraphy in Vietnamese culture
At the end of the Exchange Program was a performance of "Calligraphy" imbued with cultural art and the gentle, hospitable Vietnamese people for foreign students. Especially, Singaporean and Vietnamese students also received gifts from the artisan as souvenirs, sending good wishes through artistic calligraphy paintings.

Through GEIP X UEH International Student Exchange Program 2023, students can accumulate and cultivate knowledge and skills, as well as the friendship between Vietnam and Singapore will become increasingly better.
The program ended in the afternoon of October 7, marking a successful event in the goal of increasing International Student Exchange activities of College of Business COB-UEH. This is a useful playground to enhance the spirit of solidarity and friendship between Vietnamese and Singaporean students in general, and between students of UEH University, Vietnam and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore in particular.
