On the evening of Match 22nd, 2023, at Campus A, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), the 13th Opening Ceremony of “CEO Program Leading to Vietnam Expert” was jointly held by UEH, International Languages and Country Studies Institute (ILACS), and Vietnam - Korea Times.
Attending the Opening Ceremony, in terms of distinguished guests, were the presence of Mr. Lee Kyung Son – Chairman of CEO Alumni; Mr. Kim Jong Gak - President of Korean Overseas Association in Ho Chi Minh City. In terms of UEH, there were Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao – Vice President of UEH, Mr. Phan Nhu Minh, MBA - Dean of ILACS, Assoc.Prof. Tran Mai Dong - Director of the Program, Heads, officials of UEH-affiliated units, and learners.
Delivering a speech at the Ceremony, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao – Vice President of UEH stated: “After almost 30 years of establishing Vietnam and South Korea friendship and cooperation, the relationship of the two countries have more and more been developed and upgraded to a new level. In many consecutive years, South Korea has been in the top 5 countries and nations that directly invest projects in Vietnam the most. Korean corporates still consider Vietnam an important market to maintain the mutual relationship on diverse fields listed as investment, service trade, and market expansion. Therefore, the organization of the CEO Program Leading to Vietnam Experts is necessary and does adapt to the development demand of the market.”
With the aims of assisting Korean businessmen to be able to do business better in the Vietnamese market and live harmoniously with Vietnamese society, Vietnam - Korea Times and International Languages and Country Studies Institute (ILACS) affiliated with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) collaboratively organized the “CEO Program Leading to Vietnam Experts” to foster inclusively knowledge related to economics, finance, policy, culture, law, and so on, of Vietnam for Korean businessmen.
During this course, professors of UEH, and economics and culture specialists as well as senior managers at corporates and state organizations of Vietnam and South Korea would report and answer all questions regarding economics, finance, environment, culture, and investment effectively and compatibly with the orientation and law of the Vietnamese Government.
The “CEO Program Leading to Vietnam Expert” of UEH started its first batch in 2010. Up to the present time, UEH has trained almost 350 learners for Korean corporates to be leaders rapidly responding to the Vietnamese economy. This program not only teaches history, investing economics, and business strategies in Vietnam but also a variety of diverse educational programs.
