More than 1,000 teams participated in the 20th Olympic Traditional Contest of Marxist - Leninist sciences and Ho Chi Minh ideology in 2020

Following the success and positive values from the previous 19 exams, UEH continues to organize the 20th Olympic Traditional Contest of Marxist - Leninist sciences and Ho Chi Minh ideology with the participation of 6,444 students from 1,166 teams.

The new feature of this year's Contest is that the competitions are more countervailing and more competitive through each section. Notably, since the semi-finals, the Contest Organizing Committee has included the section "Situations solving" with counterarguments, interaction between teams and teams with the judges. With the 4th section "Pride and Follow the Step" specially designed for the Final Round, the competition took place extremely objectively and enthusiastically. In particular, despite being taken place in the context of the complicated Covid-19 epidemic, with a limited audience cheering for the implementation of a gap and disease prevention process according to the Government's regulations, all Contestants and the Contest Organizing Committee have tried their best to overcome difficulties with a view to the overall success of the Contest.

The Contest is organized with 05 rounds. After the online multiple choices round, the Contest Organizing Committee selected 100 teams to participate in the qualifying round. In the qualifying round, 552 students continued to compete online with 75 questions to choose the 27 teams with the highest score to compete in the group stage. In the group stage, the Organizing Committee selected the 9 highest scoring teams to enter the semi-finals, and from there selected 03 excellent teams in the three semi-finals, namely: Team "Nguyen Van Troi", "Campaign" , "Proletarian VI" advanced to the final round.

Through the exam rounds, on the evening of August 27, 2020, at Hall A.116, the final round of the 20th Olympic Contest of Marxist - Leninist sciences and Ho Chi Minh ideology took place in 2020 in an exciting competition atmosphere.

Attending the final, are M.A Nguyen Thien Duy - Member of the Standing Party Committee, School Chief of Staff; Mr. Tran Anh Thanh Son - Deputy Head of Department in charge of Political Affairs, Head of the Contest Organizing Committee ; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Head of Department of Political Reasoning, Head of Competition's content; along with our beloved teachers in the Contest Organizing Committee and students cheering.

In the end, with the excellent performance, the Campaign team won the first prize, the Proletarian VI team won the second prize and the Nguyen Van Troi team won the third prize. The Contest Organizing Committee awarded Consolation prizes to 6 excellent teams in the semi-finals and 4 prizes to 4 talented individuals with the highest score in the qualifying round.

Implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo and Directive No. 27 of the Prime Minister on promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; aims to enhance the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning Marxist-Leninist sciences, Ho Chi Minh ideology among students, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has organized the Olympic Traditional Contest of Marxist-Leninist Science and Ho Chi Minh ideology since 2000 to present. Through 20 times held, the Contest has attracted more than 90,000 students participated. It can be said that this is a very impressive number of an academic Contest of reasoning.
