Starting the above series of committed and enthusiastic journeys of the new students of Course 48 - Regular University, today, October 24, 2022, UEH solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of Course 48 - Regular University, Vinh Long Campus with the theme "I'm UEHer - I'm Ready for Next".

Opening Ceremony of Course 48 - UEH Regular University - Vinh Long Campus honored to welcome representatives of leaders of departments and offices of Vinh Long province; representatives of the Board of Directors of Universities, Colleges, and High schools inside and outside Vinh Long Province.

On behalf of UEH, there was the participation of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Secretary of UEH Party Committee - Chairman of UEH University Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – UEH President; Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Vice President, cum Director of Vinh Long Campus; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Strategy and Policy Advisory Council; with the presence of the Board of Directors of UEH member Colleges, the Board of Directors of Vinh Long Campus, leaders of Schools, Departments, Divisions, Units of UEH and Vinh Long Campus. And especially, the attendance and follow-up of nearly 500 students of the 48th classes of Regular University, students of all levels/systems joined online on the Cisco Webex platform.

Growing up in the era of digital technology, when personal values are highly appreciated, Gen Z is known as ‘the generation that confidently takes control of their life - more than any previous generation’, constantly seeking to find the answer to “Who am I?”. Understanding generational thinking, developing according to market trends, UEH, with its restructuring strategy to become a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University by 2030, locates the focus “Training Global Citizens - Sustainable Actions”, giving learners the freedom to pursue their dreams from the university lecture hall. In particular, UEH Vinh Long Campus is a special component of UEH in carrying out the important mission of training high-quality human resources to contribute to the development of the Mekong Delta region. At the opening ceremony, UEH Vice President cum Director of Vinh Long Campus, Dr. Bui Quang Hung, with his enthusiastic sharing, has transmitted the fire of enthusiasm to the new students so that they can prepare to pursue knowledge and develop into the best versions of themselves in the university lecture hall. “With the choice of new students studying at UEH Vinh Long Campus, this is the right choice to start the learning process, acquire professional knowledge and practice skills for the future. However, in order to complete this process and become a “Unbounded Creativity, Empowered Future, Holistic Value” UEHer, new students need to try a lot in the journey of nearly 4 years of study ahead which are: It is necessary to develop a plan and roadmap to learn, practice and develop personally with determination and high commitment to implementation during the time studying at UEH: Actively acquiring, discovering, refining knowledge, develoing thinking from the smallest things around you to new knowledge of mankind; Learning and using fluently a foreign language, especially English as a preparation for integration and become a global citizen; Actively participating in Union, Association, team club activities to know many new friends; Arranging study time reasonably to practice, work part-time, approaching the actual working environment right from university time. If given the opportunity, start a business from your own business idea or with your friends; Know how to stay healthy and take good care of yourself, must be a person who is responsible not only for yourselves but for your family and beyond, your collectives and organizations; And there's a lot more work to be done. In the joy of the opening day at Vinh Long Campus, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong, Secretary of UEH Party Committee, Chairman of UEH University Council congratulated the new students and shared with the generation of students at the Campus: “This is the third course that has been enrolled at Vinh Long Campus since the university’s establishment. UEH has invested in building, implementing, and perfecting the quality assurance system from training programs, staff, facilities, etc. The training scale is increasing at undergraduate and postgraduate training levels: “Studying at the campus having a similar quality to the UEH Headquarters” is the operating principle of UEH. In the new period under the influence of the industrial revolution 4.0 and global development trends, UEH is implementing a restructuring project with the aim of becoming a multidisciplinary university with sustainable development, construction and development. The talk continues with the sharing from the representative of a freshman of the 48th Class of Regular University, Truong Thi Huynh Tram - Banking and Finance major: “With the wishes of my family and with my own dream of becoming UEHer, I aspire to rise and is not afraid to seize opportunities to learn and strive to become a student of the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long Campus with the learning goal that I first determined when entering university is to: “Actively self-study, cultivate necessary soft skills, practice English, grasp technology, ... as well as raising awareness about the environment, community, understanding culture and grasping the world situation. This is considered as the fastest "passport" to help each student improve themselves and integrate into the global environment better in the future."

From the perspective of UEH Alumni and business leaders who have made many enthusiastic contributions to the Mekong Delta region, with stories from themselves on the journey of studying, setting up a career until achieving success, special guests at the Opening Ceremony of UEH K48 Regular University were honored to receive the participation of Mr. Huynh Van Thon - Chairman of Board of Directors of Loc Troi Group Corporation (LTG), who used to be Assistant Vice President of the Province and Director of Agriculture Department of An Giang Province. At the same time, the University knows that he is one of the successful Alumni of UEH, a multi-talented leader, and has contributed to the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta region.

As an influence on the young generation, at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Van Thon shared a post on the topic "Always Ready for Next" with stories from himself on the learning and career journey to achieve success. And to recognize the efforts of the new students, UEH would like to congratulate and commend the valedictorians and runner-ups who have achieved excellent results in each enrollment method. Vinh Long Campus has rewarded 03 freshmen with valedictorian and 05 new students with second prize; commended and awarded scholarships with a total value of nearly 400 million VND to 55 new students, including 5 Excellent scholarships (worth 14,940,000 VND/person), 15 Full scholarships (worth 9,960,000 VND / person). / rate) and 35 partial scholarships (valued at VND 4,980,000 / rate).

At the same time, with the policy of stimulation and encouragement, although all students have different conditions, circumstances and abilities, UEH creates a fair opportunity so that no one is left behind, and everyone can seize the opportunity. In order to achieve the dream, Vinh Long Campus awarded 08 scholarships to support new students with difficult circumstances, including 05 Full scholarships (worth 9,960,000 VND/person) and 03 academic scholarships, Partial scholarship (worth 4,980,000 VND/person).
