The Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between the School of Accounting (UEH) and the Fast Software Joint Stock Company (FAST)

On September 24, 2021, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fast Software Joint Stock Company (FAST). The cooperation between UEH and FAST is in the UEH’s strategy of knowledge spillover and comprehensive educational values to everyone, providing high-quality qualified human resources, and meeting the labor market’s demand in the technology era.

The signing ceremony was conducted online with the participation of Dr. Tran Anh Hoa - Dean of School of Accounting (UEH), Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Bao An - Vice Dean of School of Accounting (UEH), Heads of Departments, Directors of Training Programs, and teachers of the subject of Accounting Information System (UEH). On the side of FAST company, Mr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Deputy Director of FAST branch in Ho Chi Minh City and heads of departments attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Tran Anh Hoa - Dean of School of Accounting, shared: “To connect businesses and associate with social needs, based on the University’s development strategy, the School of Accounting has developed advanced training programs, which meets social needs and rapid advancement of information technology when the country is experiencing a strong digital transformation. Graduates from the School of Accounting of UEH are appreciated for their expertise and professional skills in accounting and auditing. The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding will open a new and comprehensive cooperation direction and promote each side’s strength. It will connect and support each other in the process of operation and development, promise to bring many benefits for training, research, consulting, career guidance, and brand promotion.”

On the FAST's side, Mr. Nguyen Dong Phong affirmed: “It is a milestone in the cooperation between the School of Accounting - UEH and the FAST enterprise. With more than 24 years of experience in implementing management solutions for businesses and some softwares for training and education, we believe that FAST will bring valuable tools to help teachers deploy practical application knowledge in the most specific and profound way. For students, this is an opportunity to access one of the most popular software with about 30,000 businesses in use and can also be an advantage in the eyes of employers when they graduate.”

The cooperation agreement signed between UEH and the FAST with a 5-year term promises to open up opportunities for UEH to transfer knowledge to society and encourage students of the School of Accounting to study and research practices, such as (i) Connecting training with practice through the business semester program, business tour and knowledge spillover; (ii) Connect to carry out researches, projects and to consult on accounting software applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; (iii) Connect and attract human resources in the field of software implementation and application to support accounting and management work; (iv) Coordinate the implementation of the UEH program "Community Connection - Knowledge Spillover - Sustainable Development".

In 2021, both sides expect to organize extracurricular sessions to introduce the accounting software and ERP systems to the accounting sector in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and implement the business semester programs.
