Dr. Pham Khanh Nam – Dean of School of Economics and Dr. Nguyen Luu Bao Doan - Head of Real Estate Department, attended and spoke at the opening ceremony.
Students from these two universities will be divided into groups to discuss two main topics: the culture of Japan - Vietnam, and how the two countries can achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Specifically, students will learn about the diversity of different cultures: history, geography, diversity in food, festivals, folk dances, music, tourist attractions... thereby overcoming language barriers, meeting fellow travellers, and discovering new aspects of themselves.
In particular, through daily activities and challenges, UEH students can exchange and work with students from Japan, which can  promote exchanges and provide a better understanding of people and working styles between two countries.
Above all, UEH students can also gain awareness of the problems that each country is facing within the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and understand the reality that with a same problem, different countries have different points of view, thereby we  have to provide the most optimal solutions and initiatives based on it.

Vietnam - Japan Youth Exchange 2021 (VJYE 2021) is a program in the series of events of the Association of Asian Youth Education & Exchange (AAEE), organized for more than 10 countries in Asia, including Vietnam and Japan, offering a combination of academic, social, and cultural activities. The program is jointly organized by UEH School of Economics and AAEE every year since 2018. This year, the program takes place from mid-June to mid-August 2021.
Dr. Pham Khanh Nam – Dean of the UEH School of Economics shared: “The Vietnam - Japan Youth Exchange 2021 is a good model towardthe goal that students can achieve the output standards in terms of skills, the degree of autonomy and the global selective trend currently. Although the Covid 19 pandemic is complicated, UEH students have to study and take exams online but they still have made an impossible thing, to organize an online cultural exchange between UEH and Tokyo Keizai University. It is a chance for students to learn new useful skills, not only culturally but also academically, since the theme of this program focuses on 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
