After 7 years of ICAEW operating in Vietnam, CFAB has become an international professional certificate in finance - accounting that major universities in Vietnam integrate into their training programs. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to cooperate with UEH - the leading university in economics and finance in Vietnam - in recent years. The Memorandum of Understanding signed today will be the foundation to enhance the cooperation relationship between ICAEW and UEH to a new level, tighter and more efficient."
Before the signing ceremony, the two sides implemented many effective cooperation activities to support teaching and research. Specifically, ICAEW has donated electronic textbooks of CFAB program subjects to lecturers, sponsored the copyright to use ICAEW's career training film 'False Assurance'. In addition, in early 2021, the two sides co-organized the seminar "Innovating the accounting training program in the context of integration" to improve the training program according to international standards, aiming to train students upon graduation to have sufficient capacity in terms of professional knowledge, professional skills, and self-control to be ready to participate in the current integrated financial services labor market. Many excellent student development activities have also been jointly implemented by the two sides and achieved good results. Typically, Class 41 alumnus, Le Thi Bich Ngoc, was selected to join the Vietnamese team to attend the final round of the Southeast Asia and China Business Strategy Competition organized by ICAEW in Singapore in 2019, currently working at Deloitte Vietnam.
