On the occasion of the 55th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc visited and worked with the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports within the framework of the Cultural Week of Vietnam in Cambodia from August 9th-13th, 2022.
On August 10th, 2022, the delegation of UEH included MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy Lieu - Vice Director of UEH Vinh Long Campus, with Lecturers of Department of Research Management - International Cooperation of UEH and Mekong International Training Center (at Vinh Long Campus), attended the forum. The Vietnamese educational forum took place at the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Pit Channam - Permanent Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Cambodia. The forum aims to promote and improve the quality of higher education cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.

University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City is one of 10 Vietnamese Universities that have cooperative relations with Cambodian higher education institutions attending this forum. On this occasion, UEH University expressed its desire to connect and expand cooperation with Cambodian training institutions in training high-quality human resources to meet the needs of society, contributing to promoting the importance of human resources and educational collaboration between the two countries.

Within the framework of Vietnam Culture Week in Cambodia in 2022, the Ministry of Education and Training cooperates with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the Vietnam Culture and Education Exhibition in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with the theme “Cultural Heritage and Human Development.” The exhibition introduces more than 50 photos of Vietnamese culture, landscape, and people’s life, especially natural heritages, tangible and intangible cultural heritages of Vietnam that have been recognized by UNESCO and listed on the World Heritage List. These are images of Vietnamese sports achievements, introducing an integrating and developing Vietnam. Besides, there is a space to display Vietnamese handicraft products. In particular, this is the first time Vietnamese higher education institutions have participated in the exhibition, having the opportunity to introduce Vietnamese education and education policies for international students, including Cambodian students. The exhibition booths of Vietnamese higher education institutions brought a new, vivid and diverse color to the exhibition.
At the event, UEH participated in an image exhibition and directly consulted to introduce the professions and training policies of UEH University, attracting a lot of students, learners, and parents to visit and learn, in which a diversity of programs and scholarship policies support Cambodian students upon their enrollment at UEH Ho Chi Minh City Campuses and Vinh Long Campus.

On this occasion, the delegation from UEH University also visited and exchanged with the Khmer - Vietnamese Association in Cambodia. Receiving and working with the delegation of UEH were Mr. Sim Chy - President of the Association and leaders and officials of the Khmer - Vietnamese Association in Cambodia. Mr. Sim Chy sent his sincere thanks to UEH university; at the same time, he hoped that in the near future, there would be more cohesion between the two Units in coordination activities in accordance with the capabilities of both sides to consult and support the Vietnamese community as well as the students in Cambodia who wish to study at UEH in particular and Vietnam in general.
