Overview of Workshop "Appraisal of roofing solar power project in combination with agriculture"
The Workshop was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hoang Bao – Dean of Economics Faculty; MSc. Phung Thanh Binh - Head of the Alumni of Economics Faculty, Mr. Le Anh Khang - General Director of Green Investment Corporation (GIC), Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao - Permanent Deputy Director of Green Investment Corporation, and more than 40 students of Economic Appraisal of investment project class, course 44, UEH.

At the workshop, the students heard an overview of Solar Energy, how to evaluate and implement projects as well as to raise capital for their projects. The workshop opened for students a panoramic view of the Vietnamese electricity industry picture.
“Vietnam has a view and strategy to encourage the mobilization of all resources from society and the people for renewable energy development. The growth rate of the electricity industry is double the growth rate of Vietnam's total GDP ”- Mr. Le Anh Khang shared. Besides solar power, the power sector can also exploit wind power, gas power, liquified natural gas power, and garbage power. The energy sector is expected to have a huge boom from 2020 and have strong growth. Therefore, students wishing to join the energy industry should prepare themselves well for their English knowledge.
The students were excited about this new method of learning. Meeting the business face-to-face and listening to reports has aroused a lot of curiosity and excitement among students. About issues related to Solar Power and the combination of project appraisal models, students were also actively exploring internship and job opportunities at GIC.

Through many activities associated with the Faculty of Economics over the years: internship support for students, organizing field surveys, business tours, etc. GIC continues to open up its perspectives and opportunities for students when disseminating and analyzing green investment - capital. This is a new trend in the field of renewable energy, contributing to sustainable development.
The workshop helps students access reality, listen and discuss, and learn how businesses implement and operate. This is a pioneering step in changing the learning associated with practices of the Faculty of Economics in particular, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics in general.
