According to Dr. Mai Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategy and Policy, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam is currently conducting consultations on amending many critical legal documents related to the environment. Proposals for each legal document require clear, scientific, and convincing arguments before they can be put into law. Closer participation of environmental economists is essential.
