Appendix I
VIETNAMESE PREPARATORY COURSES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
1. Policy of Vietnamese language preparatory studies for students who are admitted to a training program in Vietnamese
1.1. Subject
- Students with Lao, Cambodian or Cuban nationality who meet the requirements for subjects in Section II will be admitted to a Vietnamese-language training course provided by UEH and commit to supplementing their Vietnamese language certificate within 06 - 08 months from the time of admission.
1.2. Scholarship consideration period:
- UEH actively considers after the specified time for preparatory courses, based on data of the Training Management Units.
1.3. Number of slots - Scholarship level
- Scholarship level: 100% of the Vietnamese language course fee to reach the 4th level of the 6-level Vietnamese language competency framework in Vietnam and free dormitory fees during the Vietnamese pre-study period in Vietnam.
- Number of slots: Granted in conjunction with international student scholarships for all levels.
1.4. Requirements for participating in the scholarship
- Students/learners need to obtain a certificate of Vietnamese language level 4 or higher (Equivalent to B2) according to the 6-level Vietnamese Language Competency Framework within 06 - 08 months from the time of receiving the admission notice.
- Students/learners who submit Vietnamese language certificates late (no more than 03 months from the prescribed deadline) will have to refund the Vietnamese language course fees to UEH but still receive the scholarships for international students according to the correspoding course previously considered.
- Students who do not submit the Vietnamese language certificate or submit it more than 03 months after the deadline will have to refund the Vietnamese language course fee to UEH and will not be able to receive the international student scholarship for the corresponding course previously considered.
