School of Economic Mathematics and Statistics (SEMS) was established in 1976, together with the formation of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. SEMS provides high-quality training programs in the fields of Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Science, and Business Statistics. In addition, SEMS also transfers academic research findings into practical applications. SEMS offers training programs at three levels – Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Students always get jobs after graduation and they are highly appreciated by employers. SEMS always strives to enhance the quality of the training in order to meet the requirements of the labour market.
SEMS’s teaching staff obtained high-quality degrees from national and international prestigious universities. Our lecturers have scientific reputation and professional qualifications particularly in applied mathematics, econometrics, quantitative analysis, business statistics, quantitative marketing research and other related fields. SEMS' staff body currently consists of 31 Lecturers and 02 Secretaries, including 2 Associate Professors, 16 PhDs, and 13 Masters. Additionally, SEMS has relationships and collaboration in research and teaching with many domestic and international researchers, experts, and entrepreneurs.
